Recently I attended a seminar on Guerrilla Marketing.  Of course, this isn’t the first one, but it is always good to stay tuned to new thoughts on the subject especially living in Massachusetts, the home of the early 2007 guerrilla marketing campaign that received national attention:

Many have  different thoughts on the subject of guerrilla marketing and use different terms.  And this was no exception.  But the important points that were brought out that we should all be reminded of included – focus on the niche rather than the mass; cultivate relationships and it is most important to be thinking about ways to  increase efficiency; increase the value of transactions and increase the frequency of transactions.  The instructor stated that it is 7 – 10 times more expensive to get a new customer than to increase business from the existing one.  This is a key point when thinking about mass advertising.

My favorite new term of the day: “smart goals.”  I will let you use your imagination on that one for now.
