My friend Sasha ZeBryk,, often communicates to business audiences about personally  ‘Introducing Yourself in Technicolor.’  It is an intriguing way to capture recognition and remembrance from the person you are speaking with during a conversation.  One of her major points is:  “BRAND yourself with a unique self-introduction so that when people hear it, they think only of YOU. Keep refining and testing it with a variety of listeners. A business owner recently went from “I’m a consultant.” to “I stop the leaks and increase your flow of profits.”  She knows how to get people to say “Tell me more.” I can attest to Sasha’s effectiveness.

I was reading a wonderful article about your online personal brand, your web identity,  from, a marketing job website.   How often have you googled yourself.  What did it show, and how often did it change.  They identified five different digital identities:

digitally disguised; digitally dissed, digitally disastrous, digitally dabbling and digitally distinct. 

For those who are digitally aware, I am sure you can summize what they all mean.   

 The article suggested to build your brand, the correct web identity through blogging, or creating your own web site, online networking sites and communities.  And most importantly to regularly check google results of yourself.  It is funny that they noted that the google results can change as fast as the weather in New England, how true that is about results and the New England weather as I sit in New England writing when it was 95 degress a week ago and 60 today.

The goods news is that you can always improve your own personal online brand and that you can track yourself through Google News Alerts when something is published about you online.  Thanks Marketing Ladders for this info.  I hope you all find it useful.
